     James Savage was born on 25 October 1877 in the Ship Inn, Water Lane, Newark, Nottinghamshire.2,1,3 He was the son of William Savage and Fanny Ann Peck. In the census of 3 April 1881 in Upper Burgess Street, 2 Borrills Yard, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, he was listed as the son of William Savage.4 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Back of 66 Cleethorpes Road, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, he was listed as the son of William Savage.5 James married Flora May Britton on 3 July 1898 in Fisherman's & Sailor's Harbour of Refuge, Thesiger Street, Grimsby, Lincolnshire; his address given at the time of his wedding was 96 Hildyard Street Grimsby. a witness at the wedding was Lydia Britton.6,7 He was listed as a Manager of a Mineral Water Works, a Boarder of Sarah BRITTON in the census of 31 March 1901 in 108 Lovett Street, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire. In fact, he was her son-in-law; a Manager of a Mineral Water Works (Bellamy Bros. Hamilton Street) and his wife Flora May, lodging with her mother Sarah Britton and her brother John Wm 17 and sister Sarah 15.8,9 His mother-in-law was listed as a Grocer.10 James Savage witnessed the marriage of William Sunley and Jane Savage on 23 January 1915 in Park Congregational Church, Humberston Road, Clee, Grimsby, Lincolnshire.2,11,12,13 His wife, Flora, was buried on 8 April 1920 in Cleethorpes Cemetery, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire; Plot no. J-L-2.14 James Savage was the informant on the death certificate of William Savage on 26 January 1923 in 100 Scartho Road, Hospital, Grimsby, Lincolnshire; residence 60 Fairmont Road, Grimsby, formerly a night watchman (public works).2,15,16 His address given on his fathers death certificate.17,16 James died at Easter on 18 March 1945 in 84 Dukes Drive, Newbold, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, at age 67.2,18,19

Court, Boston, Lincolnshire.3,4,5,2 She was the daughter of William Savage and Fanny Ann Peck.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Back of 66 Cleethorpes Road, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, she was listed as the daughter of William Savage.6 In the census of 31 March 1901 in No. 2 Back of 173 Kent Street, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, she was listed as a Laundress, the daughter of William Savage.7 On the registration of birth certificate of her son Frederick William Savage, she was listed as a Laundry worker and living at 14 Ravenspurn Street, Grimsby, the home of her future mother and father-in-laws.8 Rose married Frederick William Garness, son of William Edward Garness and Elizabeth Ann Cook, on 25 April 1908 in St. James Church, Grimsby, Lincolnshire; her address at the time of her marriage was given 28 Ravenspurn Street.9,10,11 On the Manifest of Alien Passengers for the United States, Rose was described as 5 foot 3 inches tall, medium brown hair, eyes grey. Rose gave Lily Walker her sister-in-law's name and address 28 Ravenspurn Street, Grimsby, as "the nearest relative or friend in country wence she came from."12 Rose Garness emigrated on 13 July 1909 to Port, Liverpool, Lancashire; Rose sailed from Liverpool on the ship S.S. Ivernia, departing on the 13th July 1909 arriving in Boston Massachusets on the 22nd July 1909, traveling with her 2 year old son Frederick Wm and her sister-in-law Cissie Warnes to their scheduled destination Hamilton, Montana. U.S.A. as stated on the form, however it is now thought the country was an error and more likely to be Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.12 She immigrated to Port, Boston, United States of America, (an unknown value).12 In the census of 15 April 1910 in 3, "O" Street, Precinct 7 (part of) Ward 14, Boston, Suffolk County, America, she was listed as the wife of Frederick William Garness; a Labourer in a Factory living with his wife Rose and their boarders, his brother-in-law John E. Warnes and his wife, (Frederick's sister Cissey). Missing on the census night was their son Frederick William Garness aged 3, he was not shown as deceased on the form.13 (an unknown value).14 At the time of going into hospital her address was given as 242 Silver street, South Boston , Boston.15 Rose died on 14 January 1913 in City Hospital, 818 Harrison Ave., Boston, Suffolk County, America, at the age of 28; death as given by her husband on his return to Grimsby from America to her family and subsequently confirmed by details supplied from Boston MA.      Flora May Britton was born in 1877 in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.1,2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 164 Guildford Street, Clee With Weelsby, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, she was listed as the daughter of an unknown person.3 Flora married James Savage, son of William Savage and Fanny Ann Peck, on 3 July 1898 in Fisherman's & Sailor's Harbour of Refuge, Thesiger Street, Grimsby, Lincolnshire; his address given at the time of his wedding was 96 Hildyard Street Grimsby. a witness at the wedding was Lydia Britton.1,4 As of 1901, Flora May Britton was also known as Flora May Savage.5 She was listed as a Boarder of Sarah BRITTON in the census of 31 March 1901 in 108 Lovett Street, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire. In fact, she was her married daughter; a Manager of a Mineral Water Works (Bellamy Bros. Hamilton Street) and his wife Flora May, lodging with her mother Sarah Britton and her brother John Wm 17 and sister Sarah 15.5,6 Flora died on 4 April 1920 in 108 Lovett Street, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire.7,8 Flora was buried on 8 April 1920 in Cleethorpes Cemetery, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire; Plot no.
