John SIMPSON was born in 1876 in Woolpit, Suffolk.1 He was the son of Walter SIMPSON and Rebecca ALEXANDER.1,2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Woolpit, Suffolk, he was listed as a General Labourer, the son of Walter SIMPSON.3 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Broom Hills, Woolpit, Suffolk, he was listed as a Brickmaker, the son of Rebecca SIMPSON. Additionally it was indicated that he was blind in one eye.2
John married Ruth Minnie PASK, daughter of Joseph Willis PASK and Kate Eliza BLAKE, on 29 November 1903 in St. Mary's, Woolpit, Suffolk. The marriage was witnessed by Edward SIMPSON and Kate Susanna SIMPSON. John was a Brickmaker, aged 27 residing in Woolpit. His father was listed as Walter SIMPSON, a Sweep.4,5,6,7 John SIMPSON was the informant of the registration of the birth of his daughter Winifred Daisy SIMPSON who was born on 29 December 1908 at 3 Kiln Row, Woolpit, Suffolk. At the time he was a Brickyard Labourer residing at 3 Kiln Row, Woolpit.8,9,10
John was in a photograph together with his young son Bertram (Bertie) Simpson, taken in circa 1925.11
John was in a photograph taken in circa 1930.12
His wife, Ruth, died on 24 March 1955 in Mill Lane, Woolpit, Suffolk. At the time he was a retired Bacon Factory Worker.13

Walter SIMPSON was born in 1838 in Bildeston, Suffolk.2
Walter married Rebecca ALEXANDER on 28 May 1859 in Woolpit, Suffolk.3,4,5,6,7
In the census of 2 April 1871 in Woolpit, Suffolk, Walter was listed as the Head of Household; a Chimney Sweep, aged 53, living with his wife, and four children - Walter, Charles, Arthur, and Mary Ann Also living with them was two lodgers James SAUNDERS and Samuel DAVEY.8 Walter was sold in a public house for two shillings and six pence as a boy to climb up the inside of chimneys!9
In the census of 5 April 1891 in Woolpit, Suffolk, Walter was listed as the Head of Household; a Chimney Sweep, aged 53, living with his wife, and nine children - Charles, Arthur, William, Edward, John, Rebecca, Harriett, Joseph, Kate and grandson Bertram. Also living with them was mother-in-law Hannah BURROWS.2
Walter died before 1901; His wife was listed as a widow.3

Rebecca married Walter SIMPSON on 28 May 1859 in Woolpit, Suffolk.1,5,2,3,4
In the census of 2 April 1871 in Woolpit, Suffolk, she was listed as the wife of Walter SIMPSON (a Chimney Sweep, aged 53, living with his wife, and four children - Walter, Charles, Arthur, and Mary Ann Also living with them was two lodgers James SAUNDERS and Samuel DAVEY).6

Frederick John PASK was born in 1862 in St. Pancras, London.3,1 He was the son of George PASK and Mary Ann BETTONEY.3 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 17 Tuckers Rents ?, St. Pancras, London, he was listed as aged 9 born in St. Pancras, the son of George PASK.3
Frederick married Phoebe PASK née ? in 1887 in the Bethnal Green registration district.4
In the census of 5 April 1891 in 44 Royston Street, Bethnal Green, London, Frederick was listed as the Head of Household; a Carman, living with his wife.5
In the census of 31 March 1901 in 23 Norton Street, Bethnal Green, London, Frederick was listed as the Head of Household; a Carman, living with his wife and daughter Phoebe.6
Frederick died in 1905 in the West Ham registration district.2

Albert J. PASK was born in 1866 in St. Pancras, London.1,2 He was the son of George PASK and Mary Ann BETTONEY.1 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 17 Tuckers Rents ?, St. Pancras, London, he was listed as aged 5 born in St. Pancras, the son of George PASK.1 Albert PASK was referred to in an article in The Times.4,5 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 2 Three Herring Court, St. Katherine Cree, London, he was listed as a Van Boy, aged 15 born in St. Pancras, the son of George PASK.3

Research Note: Searched 1891 & 1901 census nothing found - also no marriage or death in civil registration.
