He was the son of Robert & Mary WILLEY née COOK.^1,2,3 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Moor House, Clixby, Lincolnshire, he was listed as an Agricultural Labourer, the son of Robert WILLEY a Farmer employing 2 Labourers and 1 boy, living with his wife, six sons and two daughters.⁴
