James married Mary MORGAN on 23 April 1845 in the Parish of St. James, Bristol, Somerset. He was a Wheelwright, a Bachelor aged 26, residing at Montague Street. His father was listed as William Paske, a Farmer.4,5,6 In the census of 30 March 1851 in Ash Street, Usk, Monmouthshire, James was listed as aged 38 born in Langeview, the Head of Household a Wheelwright, living with his wife Mary, and children Mary, and Ann.7 In the census of 30 March 1851 he was a neighbour of his brother William PASK.7 His mother, Mary PASKE's estate was probated to him on 29 October 1860 in Llandaff, Glamorganshire.8 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Cattle Street, Usk, Monmouthshire, James was listed as aged 40 born in Llangeview, the Head of Household a Carpenter, living with his wife Mary and daughters Mary, Ann, Elizabeth and Martha.1 In the census of 7 April 1861 he was a neighbour of his brother William PASKE.1 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Mount Pleasant, Llangeview, Monmouthshire, James was listed as aged 50 born in Llangeview, the Head of Household a Master carpenter, farming 17 acres of land, living with his wife Mary, and daughters Mary, Ann, Elizabeth. Also listed was a visitor, his brother-in-law George MORGAN, a Plate Layer unmarried aged 43 born in Llanllowell.9
