Eileen wrote: "As I looked through the Great Gonerby transcript and saw again the burial of Thomas Pask who was crushed by a wheel, 8 May 1829, aged 65 years, I felt strongly again that he could well be the Thomas Pask who was baptised in 1764 at Wellingore and that his brother John, baptised in 1755 at Wellingore, is our John. I know John's age at death was given as 66 in 1826, but we know how unreliable given death ages can be. It is interesting that at the time Pasks are moving away from Wellingore and disappearing from the records, our John and Alice are getting married at Wilsford just 8-9 miles south of Wellingore, and after having William at Ancaster, move south about 8 miles into Great Gonerby, presumably for better job prospects. We'll probably never be able to find out for sure, but it's interesting to imagine."

William MOULDS1

#36, b. 1778, d. 1847
Last Edited=8 Jun 2018
William MOULDS was born in 1778 in Great Ponton, Lincolnshire.2 He was the son of Joseph MOULDS and Sarah SMITH.1 He was baptised on 10 December 1778 in the Church of The Holy Cross, Great Ponton, Lincolnshire.1,3
William married Ann GROCOCK, daughter of Philip GROCOCK and Alice DANT, on 29 December 1800 in All Saints' Church, Hough-on-the-Hill, Lincolnshire. The marriage was witnessed by Ed TATEM, and John MOSS?4,5
He witnessed the marriage of Mary SHARMAN and his brother, John MOULDS, on 15 May 1813 in St. Mary Magdalene's Church, Somerby (near Grantham), Lincolnshire.1,6
In the census of 6 June 1841 in Silk Willoughby, Lincolnshire, William was listed as aged 60 born in Lincolnshire, the Head of Household; an Agricultural Labourer, assumed to be living with his wife Ann, and their grand-daughter Elizabeth MOLDS.7
William's death was registered in 1847 in the Sleaford registration district.8 He was buried on 14 March 1847 in St. Denys' Church, Silk Willoughby, Lincolnshire.9
His wife, Ann, died on 28 February 1852 in Barrowby, Lincolnshire, at the age of 78.10,11

Research Note: For both William, and Ann, the connection with Silk Willoughby, and why they were both buried there, is not known. Additionally, their age at death does not correspond with their dates of birth.
However, the 1841 census shows them living in Silk Willoughby, with their correct approximate ages, together with their grand-daughter Elizabeth (daughter of their youngest son John).
The assumption is that after William's death, Ann moved to live with her son John - see 1851 census. Then Ann died in 1852, in Barrowby, but was buried in Silk Willoughby, together with her husband.
This information needs to be verified.12
