Bernard married Sylvia SANDERS in 1958 in the Winchester registration district.3,4 Bernard was on Southampton Football Club's books for a while and is believed to have had one full first team game for them although he spent most of the time in the reserves. He was a very good all round sportsman.5
Bernard died in January 1985 in the Romsey registration district aged 48.2,6
