He was a Cordwainer, a Bachelor aged 20, residing at Pentwyn. His father was listed as Timothy Slater, a Farmer. The marriage was witnessed by Robert E. Rannells? & Elizabeth Rannells?3,1,4,5
In the census of 30 March 1851 in Llanarth, Monmouthshire, Timothy was listed as aged 24 born in Llanarth, the Head of Household; a Shoemaker living with his wife Mary Ann, and children John, Philip, and Mary.2
He was the informant of the registration of the birth of his daughter Caroline SLATER who was born on 23 June 1858 at 46 Stourbridge Street, Kidderminster, Worcestershire.6,7 Timothy SLATER was the informant on the death certificate of his daughter Caroline SLATER who died on 25 August 1858 at 46 Stourbridge Street, Kidderminster, Worcestershire. He was present at the death. He was listed as a Cordwainer, living at the same address.8,9 Timothy SLATER was the informant of the registration of the birth of his daughter Caroline SLATER who was born on 2 September 1860 at Top Bread Street, Kidderminster, Worcestershire. He was listed as a Shoemaker.10,11,12
In the census of 7 April 1861 in 17 Old Workhouse Yard, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, Timothy was listed as aged 34 born in Lanarth [Llanarth] Monmouthshire, the Head of Household; a Cordwainer, living with his wife Mary, and children
John, Philip, Mary, George, and Caroline. Also listed was Philip PASK, his brother-in-law.10
In the census of 5 April 1891 in 13 Poplar Road, Camberwell, London, John was listed as "John W", aged 65 born in Llanarth Monmouthshire, the Head of Household; a Boot Laster, living with his wife Caroline, and son-in-law William CAPLE, who was listed with his wife Caroline and son Herman.13
Timothy died on 26 May 1893 at 11 Poplar Road, Camberwell, London. His death certificates gives that he was a Bootmaker Instructor of a Charitables Institution for Boys.14
