Alun Pask
(1937-1995)
      Alun Edward Islwyn was also known as Alun E. I. PASK.2
Alun E. I. PASK was born on 10 September 1937 in Blackwood, Bedwellty, Monmouthshire.3,4 He was the son of David Gwyn PASK and Winifred Dovey BRAY.2 Alun was an international rugby player. His international debut was at the age of 23, on Saturday, 25 March 1961 v France (Paris) lost 8-6 (FN). His final appearance was on 11 March 1967 v Ireland (Cardiff) lost 3-0 (FN). He gained a total of 26 consecutive Welsh International Rugby Union caps from 1961 to 1967, and was captain 6 times. He was capped 8 times for British Lions, and hailed as one of the finest No.8 forwards of his time.1,5



Alun married Marilyn J. JAKEWAYS in 1962 in the Caerleon registration district.6 Alun tragically died during a fire at his home on 2 November 1995 at age 58.4,7

      David Gwyn was also known as David G. PASK.4 He was born on 4 December 1910, in the Newport registration district.4 He was the son of Sidney PASK and Emily SMITH.3 David married Winifred Dovey BRAY in 1934 in the Bedwellty, Monmouthshire.5
David's death was registered in March 1979 in the Pontypool registration district at the age of 68.2,3

PASK.4 James Thomas PASK's birth was registered in 1887 in the Cardiff registration district.2,5,1 He was the son of Augustine Thomas PASK and Jane PARRY.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Caerwent, Monmouthshire, he was listed as aged 4 born in Cardiff, the nephew & Lodger of James & Mary PUDDLE née PARRY, his maternal aunt.6,7 As of 1913, James Thomas PASK and Jane PASK lived at 17 Energlyn Terrace, Caerphilly, Glamorgan. He was a Grocer & Haulier.8 James married Jane PONTING on 20 January 1913 in Caerwent, Monmouthshire. The marriage was witnessed by John HARRIS and Clara PONTING. He was a Haulier, a Bachelor aged 25 otp. His father was listed as Augustine Thomas Pask Deceased, a Carpenter.9,1,4 James Thomas PASK lived at 33 Van Road, Caerphilly, Glamorgan. James Thomas was a Haulier.3

Winifred Nancy PASK was born on 6 June 1892 in Islington, London.2,1,3 She was the daughter of Samuel Johnson PASK and Nancy FAIERS.2 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 17 Haddon Terrace, Barnet, Middlesex, she was listed as aged 8 born in Islington, the daughter of Samuel Johnson PASK.2
Winifred died in 1974 in the Peterborough registration district.3

Cecil Samuel PASK was born on 31 January 1894 in Islington, London.1,2,3 He was the son of Samuel Johnson PASK and Nancy FAIERS.1 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 17 Haddon Terrace, Barnet, Middlesex, he was listed as aged 7 born in Islington, the son of Samuel Johnson PASK.1
Cecil married Hilda May CAUDERY in 1929 in the Aylesbury registration district.3,4,5
His wife, Hilda, died in 1976 in the Aylesbury registration district.6
Cecil died on 2 December 1982, at the age of 88, and his death was registered in the Torbay registration district.7,3

Research Note: At her birth registration, "Winnie" is registered as Hilda May CAUDERY, at their marriage registration, Hilda M. CAUDREY, however at the birth of their son John A., her maiden name is given as CAUDERN.5,8

William Hilton PASK was born in 1838 in Thorney, Cambridgeshire.1,4,5 He was the son of Hilton PASK and Maria LEE.1,2 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Thorney, Cambridgeshire, he was listed as aged 4, assumed to be the son of Hilton PASK.5 In the census of 30 March 1851 in 78 Broadgate, Sutton St. Mary, Lincolnshire, he was listed as aged 13 born in Thorney Cambridgeshire, the son of Hilton PASK.1
William's death was registered in 1852 in the Peterborough registration district.6
Research Note: There is also a death entry in civil registration for 1853/Q4 however the entries are difficult to read.
