Horace Bertie LLOYD was born on 5 September 1906 in Hintlesham, Suffolk. He was the son of George & Eliza LLOYD née GANT.2 He was baptised on 30 June 1907 in St. Nicholas' Church, Hintlesham, Suffolk.2
Horace married Nancy Janet PASK, daughter of Arthur PASK and Janet RAMSEY, on 29 September 1934 in St. Gregory's Church, Rendlesham, Suffolk.4,1,2
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Horace and his wife Nancy, were listed as living in Heming Stone Road, Gipping, Suffolk. He was born on 5 September 1906, and his was occupation was an Agricultural Labourer.5
He witnessed the marriage of Gladys Gertrude LUNGLEY and his brother-in-law, Herbert Arthur PASK, on 2 August 1941 in Ardleigh, Essex.6,7
Horace and Nancy raised their three children in Wakes Colne, Essex.2
