Richard married Mary Catherine LEE on 3 September 1901 in Christ Church, Southwark, London. He was a Bachelor aged 21, a Dairyman residing at 32 Hatfield Street. His father was listed as Richard Wells GARRETT, a Hatter. The marriage was witnessed by Thomas Albert STONEMAN, and Mary Thirganix? SMITH.5,6

In the census of 2 April 1911 in 119 Boston Street, Shoreditch, London, Richard was listed as aged 31 born in Southwark, the Head of Household; a Labourer at a Mineral Water Company, living with his wife Catherine Wells, and their infant daughter Catherine Wells.7

In the census of 31 March 1901 in 1d Whitehill Houses, Southwark, London, he was listed as a Tobacco Warehouse Lad aged 17 born in Lambeth, the son of Richard W. GARRETT.5
He witnessed the marriage of Ellen Eliza MOSS and his brother Arthur Edwin WELLS-GARRETT on 14 May 1905 in Christ Church, Southwark, London.6,7

Alfred married Maud Louisa MOORHOUSE on 25 December 1905 in St. Stephen's Church, Battersea, London. He was a Bachelor aged 22, a Traveller residing at 25 Bullard? Street. His father was listed as Richard Thomas Garrett. The marriage was witnessed by Harry LENHARD, and Herbert G. SYMES.8,9

In the census of 2 April 1911 in 15 Trewint Street, Wandsworth, London, Alfred was listed as aged 28 born in Lambeth, the Head of Household; a Carman for Tobacco Manufacturer, living with his wife Maud Wells, and their daughters Maud Wells, and Kitty Wells.10
Alfred served in World War I. He enlisted in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, on 10 December 1915 into the Bedfordshire Regiment. He was Private 202072. He reported that he first noticed in January 1917 that he suffered from Rheumatic Fever. On 6 September 1917, he was medically discharged, and awarded a Pension from 9 April 1917.11
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Alfred and his wife Maud, were listed as living in 37 Ursula Street, Battersea, London. He was born on 8 September 1883, and his occupation was a Cash Collector; Also listed was their daughter Lilian, and son-in-law James. There is a redacted entry.3
Alfred died in 1967 in the Waltham Forest registration district.12 He was buried on 25 August 1967 in Grave 70815, Section B6, Chingford Mount Cemetery, Waltham Forest, London.13
