     Charles Henry Sheppard was born in 1875 in Gedney Drove End, Lincolnshire.3,4 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Marsh, Lutton, Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, he was listed as the son of an unknown person.4 Charles married Mary Ann Savage, daughter of Rufus Savage and Mary Ann Garrad, in 1896 in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.1,5,6 Charles was listed as the Head of Household in the census of 31 March 1901 at Whaplode Marsh, Whaplode, Lincolnshire, an Ordinary Agricultural Labourer, living with his wife and two daughteres.7 Charles died after 1914 in Spalding, Lincolnshire.8
