James SAVAGE was born on 20 April 1841 in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.1,4,5 He was baptised on 26 April 1841 in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.3,2 He was the son of William SAVAGE and Frances JACKLIN.3,1,2 In the census of 7 June 1841 in Holbeach, Lincolnshire, he was listed as aged 1 month, assumed to be the son of William SAVAGE.6 In the census of 30 March 1851 in Holbeach Bank, Holbeach, Lincolnshire, he was listed as aged 10 born in Holbeach, the son of William SAVAGE.7
In the census of 7 April 1861 in Holbeach Bank, Holbeach, Lincolnshire, he was listed as an Agricultural Labourer, the son of Frances SAVAGE.1
James married Henrietta (?) circa 1863.8
James was listed as the Head of Household in the census of 3 April 1881 at 50 W Green, Boston & Hall Hills, Boston, Lincolnshire, a Farm Labourer, living with his wife, four sons and three daughters.8
Research Note: Did not find in the 1901 census, neither him, his wife and children. Possibility that they may have immigrated.9

Rufus SAVAGE was born on 12 June 1848 in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.1,3 He was the son of William SAVAGE and Frances JACKLIN.2,1 In the census of 30 March 1851 in Holbeach Bank, Holbeach, Lincolnshire, he was listed as aged 3 born in Holbeach, the son of William SAVAGE.4 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Holbeach Bank, Holbeach, Lincolnshire, he was listed as an Agricultural Labourer, the son of Frances SAVAGE.1 At the time of his marriage, Rufus was a Labourer.5 Rufus married Mary Ann GARRAD on 4 September 1868 the Parish Church, Holbeach, Lincolnshire, Witnessed by Joseph Williams and Fanny Scarborough.2,6,7
In the census of 3 April 1881 in 23 Queens Court, Boston & Hall Hills, Boston, Lincolnshire, Rufus was listed as the Head of Household; a Farm Labourer, living with his wife, son and two daughters.8 In the census of 31 March 1901 Rufus was listed as the Head of Household at Little Common, Holbeach, Lincolnshire, an Agricultural Labourer, living with his wife and son. Also living in the same house was Richard CAREY, a Boarder.9
