James LEWIS was born in 1793 in Monmouthshire.2,3
James married Mary PASKE, daughter of William PASKE and Anne THOMAS, on 5 May 1814 in Mathern, Monmouthshire.1
In the census of 6 June 1841 in Kilgwrrwg, Monmouthshire, James was listed as aged 48 born in Monmouthshire, the Head of Household; a Limeburner, assumed to be living with his wife Mary, and children William, James, Isaac, Thomas, and Jane.2 In the census of 7 June 1841 he was at the same address as his mother-in-law, Ann PASK, but enumerated as a different household.4,2
In the census of 30 March 1851 in Lower House, Kilgwrrwg, Monmouthshire, James was listed as the Head of Household; a Limeburner, living with his wife Mary, and children James, Elenor, and Mary Ann. However, this is assumed to be James his son, "Elenor" his daughter-in-law, and granddaughter Mary Ann. Also listed was James HARRIS, a Lodger.3

Eleanor MATHIAS was born in 1831 in Newchurch, Monmouthshire.1
Eleanor married James LEWIS, son of James LEWIS and Mary PASKE, in 1850 in the Newport registration district.1,2,3 In the census of 30 March 1851 in Lower House, Kilgwrrwg, Monmouthshire, she was listed as "Elenor" aged 20 born in Newchurch, the daughter [daughter-in-law] of James LEWIS.1

Kathleen married Christopher Harold PASKE, son of Frederick PASKE and Elizabeth Alice MOBEY, in 1930 in the Newton Abbot registration district.2
Kathleen died in August 1989 in the Newton Abbot registration district aged 86.4
