WHITE.4
She immigrated to New Zealand with her mother Martha, and her two brothers. They travelled on the Ship 'Ruapehu', departing London on 8 August 1907; In 1907 the family immigrated to New Zealand. They travelled in Second Saloon on the Ship 'Ruapehu' departing London on 8 August 1907. Martha travelled with her three children H.M., aged 17; A.T., aged 14; and C.W., aged 9. Her husband Thomas must have travelled out earlier, as he was not listed.5
Hilda died on 22 December 1964 at the age of 75.1

John died on 29 October 1929 in Burton Joyce Railway Station, Burton Joyce, Nottinghamshire, at the age of 23.6,7
An incident relating to him was reported in the Nottingham Evening Post, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, on 31 October 1929.7 It read:
GRIM FIND NEAR BURTON JOYCE STATION.
A LINCOLN MAN ?
The decapitated body of a young man was this morning found on the railway line near Burton Joyce station.
The discovery was made about 6.30 a.m. by a railway employee on his way to work.
The body has not yet been identified, but it is thought deceased belonged to Lincoln.
A bloodstained letter bearing the name of Mr. John Brown Pask was found on the body.
Mr. Pask, an architect, aged 23, Of Friar-lane, Lincoln, left home to go to work at a Lincoln architect's office on Tuesday morning, but did not turn up.7

The inquest into his death was reported in the Nottingham Journal, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, on 2 November 1929.5 It read:
A LINCOLN MAN'S SHOCKING END.
Found Decapitated Near Burton Joyce.
STRANGE NOTE LEFT ON NOVEL.
The mystery surrounding the death of a Lincoln man who was found decapitated on the L.M.S. railway at Burton Joyce on Thursday morning was not cleared up at the inquest yesterday.
A remarkable note in his hand-writing was found on the fly-leaf of a novel which was found in his pocket.

The Inquest was held at Lord Nelson Hotel, Burton Joyce, and was conducted by the Nottinghamshire Coroner (Lieut.-Col. H. Bradwell).
The deceased was John Brown Pask, an architect's assistant, of 28 Friar-lane, Lincoln, and the jury returned a verdict of "Found dead on the railway."
A novel "The Long Shadow" was found on him and on the fly-leaf was written in his hand-writing: "The wages of sin Is death" and the first verse of the hymn "Just as I am without one plea." In conclusion were the words "I have come unflinchingly and pray for Thy forgiveness."
The father, Mr. Richard M. Pask, a groom of the same address, said he could only identify his son by clothing and things he had on him. He last saw the deceased about 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday.
Happy at His Work.
Witness could not see why his son should visit Burton Joyce, as he knew nobody In Nottingham. Witness informed the police after searching Lincoln for him.
In reply to the coroner witness asserted that there was nothing wrong in his son's business. He appeared to be quite happy at his work.
Porter's Discovery.
Eric Watson, of Chestnut-drive, Burton Joyce, a porter at Burton Joyce station, said that at about 6.30 on Thursday morning he was crossing the line to go to the waiting rooms when he noticed a dark object lying in the foot on the up line 50 or 70 yard from the Crossing On the Lowdham side. It was the badly mutilated body of Pask had apparently been there some time.5
He was buried in Plot 0765, Canwick Road Cemetery, Lincoln, Lincolnshire.4
His funeral service was held at St. Swithin's Church, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, on 4 November 1929.4
