WIFE OF POLICE SERGEANT DIES ÄT HOME; POLICE MEN ACT AS BEARERS
A stroke suffered two weeks ago today proved fatal to Mrs. William Morey who died at her home early this morning.
Mrs. Margaret Pask Morey was born in Sidbrook Grange, LincoInshire, England Oct. 3, 1864, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pask. She came to Ypsilanti 41 years ago to the home of a sister Mrs. Martha Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Brown later moved to Seattle where Mrs. Brown died.
Her marriage to William Morey took place here Feb. 24, 1894.
Mrs. Morey was a member of the Church of England.
Her husband, now a sergeant in the city police force, survives as do two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Swazie, St. John’s St., and Mrs. Arthur Jones, at home; a son, illiam Morey, Jr., at home; three grandchildren; sisters and brothers in England; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from Moore Funeral Home, Rev. Wm. R. Shaw officiating. Members of the police department will act as pall bearers. Interment will be In Highland Cemetery.16,20
Her husband, William, died on 22 September 1954 in Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USA, at the age of 87.21 Margaret and her husband William are buried together in Plot Block 35 Lot 15, Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USA.19,21,22
