Elvira PASK was born on 17 November 1845 in Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire.1,2 She was the daughter of John PASK and Anne THOMAS.1 In the census of 30 March 1851 in Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire, she was listed as "Elssia", aged 6 born in Aberystruth, the daughter of John PASK.3,4 In the census of 7 April 1861 in New Street, Neath, Glamorganshire, she was listed as an Assistant aged 16 born in Ebbw Vale Monmouthshire, the niece of her mother's brother Griffith Thomas, a Clerk in the Brewery.5,4

Elvira died on 15 August 1935 in 16 Colliers Row, Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire, at the age of 89.15,16 Elvira was buried on 28 August 1935 in Ebbw Vale Cemetery, Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire, at the age of 89.14 Her obituary was recorded in the Merthyr Express - Ebbw Vale Obituaries:
"Mrs E. Thomas, Colliers Row.
The death took place at 16 Colliers Row, Ebbw Vale, on Friday, of Mrs E. Thomas, at the advanced age of 90 years. She was one of Ebbw Vale's oldest inhabitants, and had lived in the same house practically all her life.
The funeral took place on Tuesday at Ebbw Vale Cemetery, Mr. Phil Williams officating. The mourners were : Messrs. Wm. H. Thomas (son); T. Young and J. Young, Harry Brown, John H. Thomas and Len Curby (grandsons).
The bearers were Messrs. H. Rogers, Tom Smith, Cyril King, John Edwards, David Mathews and P. Morgan. There were several wreaths from the family etc.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. E. M. Roberts, undertaker, Church Street, Ebbw Vale. " on 31 August 1935.14
Research Note: Len Curby who attending the funeral of Elvira was Clifford Lenoard Kirby. Clifford married Winifred Thomas, the granddaughter of the deceased.14
