     Thomas PASKE was born in 1837 in Pontypool, Monmouthshire.1,2 He was the son of William PASKE and Caroline Amelia BUDDING.1 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Newport, Monmouthshire, he was listed as aged 4, assumed to be the son of William PASKE.1

Research Note: Initially he was thought to have died in 1842. However, the GRO Online Index shows that the Thomas Paske who died in 1842 was aged 31. So this is not him.3

     Henry Septimus HAZELL was born in 1846.3
Henry married Mary PASKE, daughter of William PASKE and Caroline Amelia BUDDING, on 21 February 1875 in St. James the Apostle Church, Lambeth, London. He was a Warehouse Porter, a Bachelor aged 29 residing at 6 Dane's Road. His father was listed as William Hazell, a Shoe-maker. The marriage was witnessed by Robert Henry SILVESTER (bride's brother-in-law), and Emma MINISTER.1,2,3,4
On 25 February 1877, at the time of the baptism of their daughter Caroline Naomi HAZELL, Henry and Mary lived in 50 Olney Street, Walworth, London. Henry was a Warehouse Porter.5
On 21 July 1878, at the time of the baptism of their son William Henry HAZELL, Henry and Mary lived in 8 Shaftesbury Street, Walworth, London.6
Henry died in 1880 in the St. Saviour registration district.7
His wife's, Mary, death was registered in 1906 in the Newport registration district.8

     Jean HICKS was born on 8 August 1925, in the Newport registration district; Her parents were Albert G. & Mabel HICKS née WILLIAMS.2,3,4
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Jean was living with her parents, Albert & Mabel, at 42 Railway Terrace, Abercarn, Monmouthshire. Her date of birth was given as 8 August 1925, and she was at school.3
Jean married Bernard Jeffrey PASKE, son of Robert Aubrey PASKE and Elizabeth WILLIAMS, in 1947 in the Caerleon registration district.1
Her husband, Bernard, died in September 1980 in the Newport registration district.5,2,6
Between 2002-2013, in the electoral list Jean was listed as living at 148 Pilton Vale, Newport, Monmouthshire.7
Jean died on 21 December 2013 at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, Monmouthshire, at the age of 88.2,8,9,10,11
Her death was announced in the South Wales Argus on 3 January 2014. It read:

PASKE On 21st December 2013 peacefully at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Jean of Pilton Vale Malpas. Beloved wife of the late Bernard, much loved mother of David, Jonathan and Julian, mother-in-law of Louise and Katrine, Nanna of Michelle, Jeffrey and Laura. Re-united with Dad. Funeral Friday 10th January service at the Gwent Crematorium at 12 noon. Family flowers only please but donations in memory may be given to Alzheimers Society Newport Branch, Ty Derwen, Church Road, Newport NP19 7EJ.11

Her body was cremated on 10 January 2014 in Gwent Crematorium, Cwmbran, Monmouthshire.11
Her estate was probated on 13 February 2014 at the Cardiff Probate Registry, Cardiff, Glamorganshire.9
