Thirza KING née ? was born in 1863 in Sturminster, Dorset.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 2 Forge Hammer Row, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, she was listed as aged 26, born in Newport, the wife of Thomas PASK; a Labourer, living with his wife Thirza, his brother John, his daughter [step-daughter] Lily, and son John. Also listed was a boarder George POPE.3
Thirza married Thomas PASKE, son of William PASK and Mary Ann DAVIES, in 1892 in the Pontypool registration district.1,4
In the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 Spring Street, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, she was listed as aged 38 born in Sturminster Dorsetshire, the wife of Thomas PASK (a General Labourer at the Iron Works, living with his wife Thirza and children Lillie, John Hy., Florence E., Mary A., Thomas, Ellen, and William A. Also listed were seven boarders, including his cousin Frederick PASK.).1

Research Note: Mike Strange's website details Probate records for the surname STRANGE, including "Sidney Strange of 4 Spring-street Cwmbran Monmouthshire labourer died 16 April 1906. Probate Llandaff 30 April to Thirza Pask (wife of Thomas Pask). Effects £28.7s." Unsure what the connection is between Thirza and Sidney.5

Lily married Frederick PASK, son of John PASK and Jane PASK née ?, in 1900 in the Newport registration district.4,5,1 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 Spring Street, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire, she was listed as married, aged 18 born in Sturminster Dorset, the [step] daughter of Thomas PASK. Her husband Frederick was listed in the same household as a Boarder.2
Her husband, Frederick, died in 1954 in the Pontypool registration district.6

Research Note: Lillie (or Lily) was the step-daughter of Thomas PASK, who married Thirza KING in.1

Research Note: Frederick & Lily may have had additional children in the period 1901-1911, however it is difficult to determine, without purchasing the birth certificates.

Thomas married Annie MESKILL in September 1920 in the Newport registration district.4,5,3 His wife, Annie, died on 26 March 1977 in the Pontypool registration district.3,6
Thomas died on 3 August 1978, at the age of 84, and his death was registered in the Pontypool registration district.3,7

Frederick PASK was born in 1879 in Trevethin, Monmouthshire.4,2 He was the son of John PASK and Jane PASK née ?3 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 1 The Square, Trevethin, Monmouthshire, he was listed as aged 1 born in Trevethin, the son of John PASK.4 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 253 Cardiff Road, Aberdare, Glamorganshire, he was listed as "Fredk", age 11 born in Pontypool, the son of John PASK.3
Frederick married Lily Maria KING, daughter of Thirza KING née ?, in 1900 in the Newport registration district.5,6,7 He was listed as a Coalminer underground, married, aged 21 born in Aberdare Glamorganshire, a Boarder of Thomas PASK in the census of 31 March 1901 in 6 Spring Street, Llanvihangel Llantarnam, Monmouthshire. He was in fact the cousin of Thomas, and recently married to Thomas' stepdaughter Lillie.1
Frederick died in 1954 in the Pontypool registration district.8

John PASK was born in 1838 in Thundersley, Essex.1,3 He was the son of James Horton PASK and Julia ASPLIN.2 In the census of 7 June 1841 in Daws Heath, Thundersley, Essex, he was listed as aged 3, assumed to be the son of James PASK.3 In the census of 30 March 1851 in Hadleigh, Essex,, he was listed as an Agricultural Labourer aged 13 born in Thundersley, a Lodger of Ann HARVEY, (a widowed Farmer aged 60).4 John served as an Able Seaman (AB) on HMS Agamemnon and he was awarded the Crimea medal with Sebastopol clasp, together with the Turkish Medal.
He also served in the navy on HMS Highflyer as an Ordinary Seaman (Ships No 72). He was entitled to the Canton 1857 clasp on the China Medal.
He was discharged on 22 September 1858 having completed his apprenticeship (?).5,6,7

John married Sarah Ann CLEMENTS in 1865 in the Rochford registration district.8,9,10
In the census of 2 April 1871 in 10 Grovenor Place, Prittlewell, Essex, John was listed as the Head of Household; a Grocer, living with his wife Sarah, and children Clement, Rosa, and John.8
His wife, Sarah, died in 1880 in the Rochford registration district.11 John was listed as a Widower, aged 44 born in Thundersley, the Head of Household in the census of 3 April 1881 at 40 Overstone Road, Hammersmith, London, a Railway Labourer, living with his children Clements, George, William, John, and Albert. Also living with them was Mary CARRY, an unmarried General Servant.12
John married Agnes DAINES in 1889 in the Rochford registration district.1,13
In the census of 5 April 1891 in 1 Dawson Street, Fulham, London, John was listed as aged 53 born in Thundersley, the Head of Household; a Railway Carriage Cleaner, living with his wife Agnes, and adult children Clement, William, John, and Albert.14 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 35 Avenue Terrace, Prittlewell, Essex, he was listed as the brother-in-law of Arabella JACKSON, a widow (the sister of his wife Agnes); a retired Railway employee, living with his wife, in the household of his sister-in-law Arabella JACKSON a widow. Also living in the household was Ann DAINES his unmarried sister-in-law.1 John died on 3 July 1924 and his death was registered in the Rochford registration district.5,15 John was buried in July 1924 in North Road Cemetery, Southend-on-Sea, Essex.5,6,16 In his obituary it details that he served as an Able Seaman (AB) on HMS Agamemnon, also serving with the Naval Brigade ashore.17,6

Agnes married John PASK, son of James Horton PASK and Julia ASPLIN, in 1889 in the Rochford registration district.1,3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 1 Dawson Street, Fulham, London, she was listed as aged 55 born in Southchurch, the wife of John PASK; a Railway Carriage Cleaner, living with his wife Agnes, and adult children Clement, William, John, and Albert.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 35 Avenue Terrace, Prittlewell, Essex, she was listed as the sister of of Arabella JACKSON, a widow.1
Her husband, John, died in 3 July 1924 in the Rochford registration district.5,6 Agnes DAINES made a will dated 10 September 1924 in "Roachbourne", Avenue Terrace, Southend-on-Sea, Essex.7 Agnes died on 23 November 1925 and her death was registered in the Rochford registration district.5,2 Agnes was buried in November 1925 in North Road Cemetery, Southend-on-Sea, Essex.5,8

Arthur Goldingham PASKE was born in 2 October 1861 in the East Indies [India].1,2,3 He was the son of William PASKE and Eliza SMALLEY.2 Arthur Goldingham PASKE was baptised in Missouri.3,4 In the census of 2 April 1871 in The Grange, Clapham, London, he was listed as "Arther G.", aged 9 born in India, the son of William PASKE.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in South Lodge, Norwood, Middlesex, he was listed as aged 19 born in Mussoire India, the son of William PASKE.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 he was listed in the District Oxford Wood Barracks, St. Mary, Berkshire; a Captain in the Infantry, unmarried aged 39 born in the East Indes, a British Subject.1 Arthur Goldingham PASKE was named as a beneficiary and an executor in his father's, William PASKE, will made on 18 June 1905.6 William PASKE's estate was probated to Arthur Goldingham PASKE on 10 April 1908 in London.7,6
Arthur married Ada Elizabeth SAWYER on 19 May 1915 in St. John the Evangelist, Ladbrook Gove, Kensington, London.8,9,10
His wife, Ada, died in 1929 in the East Preston registration district.11
Arthur died in 1954 in the Aldershot registration district.12 Arthur was buried on 9 December 1954 in Broadwater Cemetery, Worthing, Sussex, at the age of 93.13 Information on Arthur Goldingham Paske is available on the DNW Auction Archive website. It reads:
Arthur Goldingham Paske, 2nd son of William Paske, and an elder brother of George Frederick was born on 2 October 1861 and baptised in Missouri, India. He was commissioned into the 3rd Middlesex Militia in February 1881, was a Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion Royal Fusiliers in July 1881 and a Captain in the Reserve in December 1888. He was commissioned into the Royal Berkshire Regiment on 21 December 1889 and was promoted to Lieutenant in July 1892 and Captain in February 1900. He was latterly a Major in the Reserve of Officers and sometime Mayor of Aylesbury. Sold with a silver Cup, inscribed, ‘A. G. Paske, 2nd 1/4 Mile, Ealing, 1880’; a silver napkin ring, inscribed, ‘A. G. Paske, 1885’, and a framed document bearing the Armorial Bearings of Major Arthur Goldingham Paske; also with commission document appointing A. G. Paske as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 3rd Middlesex (Royal Westminster) Regiment, and Musketry Certificate, 1888.3,4

Albert Pask (1871-1960)
     
Albert PASK was born in 1871 in Trelleck, Monmouthshire.3,1 He was the son of George PASK and Ann COLEMAN.1,2 Albert PASK was baptised on 22 October 1871 in the Bible Christian Chapel, Whiteleye, Trelleck, Monmouthshire.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Whiteleigh, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as the son of George PASK.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Walkins Farm, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as a Woodcutter aged 19 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as a Woodcutter aged 29 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.5
Albert was in a photograph taken on 25 December.6,7
Albert was in a photograph taken in 1953. Chris wrote: "I remember Albert when I was 4 or 5 years old. He would sit on a wall outside his house in Tintern smoking a pipe. He lived next door to my Grandad and Great Grandad, at the Old Globe, Tintern.6,7"
Albert died in 1960 in Chepstow, Monmouthshire.8 Albert was buried on 15 June 1960 in St Michael's Church, Tintern, Monmouthshire.9

William George PASK was born in 1874 in Trelleck, Monmouthshire.3,1 He was the son of George PASK and Ann COLEMAN.3,2,4 William George PASK was baptised on 13 April 1874 in Bible Christian Chapel, Whiteleye, Trelleck, Monmouthshire.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Whiteleigh, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as the son of George PASK.3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Walkins Farm, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as a Woodcutter aged 17 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.5
George married Elizabeth HOSKINS on 20 January 1896 in The Independent Chapel, Monmouth, Monmouthshire. He was a Wood Cutter, a Bachelor aged 22, residing at Trelleck. His father was listed as George Pask.6,4 In May 1899, at the time of their daughter Frances' baptism, George and Elizabeth lived at Trellech Road, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, and he was a Woodcutter.7 In the census of 31 March 1901 he was at the same address as his father George PASK, but enumerated as a different household.6
In the census of 31 March 1901 in Trelleck, Monmouthshire, W. was listed as aged 27 born in Trellick, the Head of Household; living with his wife Elizabeth, and daughter Frances E.6
His wife, Elizabeth, died in 1921 in the Newport registration district.8
William died in 1937 in the Bridgewater registration district.9

John PASK was born in 1876 in Trelleck, Monmouthshire.3,1 He was the son of George PASK and Ann COLEMAN.1,2 John PASK was baptised on 9 October 1876 in Whitelye Chapel, Trelleck, Monmouthshire.2,4 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Whiteleigh, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as the son of George PASK.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Walkins Farm, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as a Woodcutter aged 14 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.5
John married Elsie PASK, daughter of William PASK and Elizabeth Ann ROBERTS, in 1908 in the Chepstow registration district. They were cousins, their fathers were brothers.6,7
John died in 1943 in the Bedwellty registration district.8

Research Note: There are two transcriptions for the same baptism, however they vary slightly.4,2

Research Note: It is difficult to determine whether the children with the mother's name of PASK belong to this family, or that they were born illegitimately to PASK females. More research is required to establish this. In the meantime, assumptions have been made.9

Charles PASK was born on 2 March 1879 in Whitelye, Trelleck, Monmouthshire.4,1,2 He was the son of George PASK and Ann COLEMAN.1,2,3 Charles PASK was baptised on 6 April 1879 in Whitelye Chapel, Trelleck, Monmouthshire.3 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Whiteleigh, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as the son of George PASK.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Walkins Farm, Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as "Charley" aged 12 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Trelleck, Monmouthshire, he was listed as a Waggoner aged 22 born in Trelleck, the son of George PASK.6 In 1908, at the time of his marriage, Charles was a Haulier in Tintern, Monmouthshire.7 Charles married Rhoda Jane TUCKER, daughter of Charles TUCKER and Ann COOK, on 26 March 1908 in Abersychan Church, Abersychan, Monmouthshire. The marriage was witnessed by Charles and Frances TUCKER.8,9,7 In 1910, at the time of the birth of his daughter Dorothea, Charles was a Colliery Timberman.8
Charles died in 1953 in the Pontypool registration district.10

Research Note: Searched GRO Births 1908 to 1924, however only found two children with mother's maiden name of TUCKER.
