Her father was William PREWER, a Labourer.2,3 Sarah married Charles PASK, son of John PASK and Ellen MORTLOCK, on 20 March 1857 in Chevington, Suffolk. She was a Spinster aged 18, residing at Chevington. Her father was listed as William PREWER, a Labourer. The marriage was witnessed by Henry PASKE and Elizabeth COOKE.4,2,5,3 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Cobnalls, Depden, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 21 born in Chevington, the wife of Charles PASK (an Agricultural Labourer, living with his wife Sarah A., and children George, and Charles.)6
In the census of 2 April 1871 in Deben, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 31 born in Chevington, the wife of Charles PASK (an Agricultural Labourer, living with his wife Sarah A., and two sons George, and Charles. Also lodging with them was [his mother] Ellen PASK, a widow aged 70.)7
In the census of 3 April 1881 in Cobnall Cottage, Depden, Suffolk, she was listed as the wife of Charles PASK (an Agricultural Labourer living with his wife.)2
In the census of 5 April 1891 in Bury Road Rookery Cottage, Chedburgh, Suffolk, she was listed as a Tailoress aged 52 born in Chevington, the wife of Charles PASK (an Agricultural Labourer living with his wife Sarah Ann.)8
In the census of 31 March 1901 in Rookery, Chedburgh, Suffolk, she was listed as a Tailoress aged 62 born in Chevington, the wife of Charles PASK (an Ordinary Agricultural Labourer living with his wife Sarah Ann.)9
Her husband, Charles, died in 1917 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.10
Sarah died in 1923 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.11

     Charles Alfred PASK II was born on 21 March 1853 in Magpie Road, St Augustine, Norwich, Norfolk.1,2,3 He was the son of William Alfred PASK I and Charlotte LOADES.1
In the census of 7 April 1861 in Back Street, Hackford by Reepham, Norfolk, he was listed as aged 8 born in Norwich, the grandson of James & Charlotte LOADS, a Blacksmith, together with his older brother William. As well as their grandparents also listed was their uncle James, aged 11, and their cousin Eliza LOADS, aged 9. William and Charles had been living with their grandparents after their mother had died in 1854.1,4,5
Charles Alfred PASK II were named as beneficiaries in Charles Alfred PASK I's will made on 8 December 1861.6
Charles Alfred PASK II were named as beneficiaries in Susan PASKE's will made.7
In the census of 2 April 1871 in Staples Yard, Hackford by Reepham, Norfolk, he was listed as a Blacksmith's apprentice, aged 18 born in Norwich, the grandson of Charlotte LOADES, together with his brother William; Charlotte their maternal grandmother was a widow aged 69. Also listed was their cousin Robert LOADES, their aunt Mary WOODS, and her children Robert, William, and Mary.4,8 Charles married Rosina Sarah HOBBS on 9 September 1875 in the St. Paul's Church, Charlton, Kent. Witnessed by Thomas BAMFIELD and Belinda Alice Marion HOBBS.3,9 Charles was a Farrier.3
As of 1878, Charles lived at Busby's Court, London Street, Greenwich, London.3
In the census of 3 April 1881 in 51 Brand Street, Greenwich, London, Charles was listed as aged 28 born in Norwich Norfolk, the Head of Household; a Blacksmith, living his wife, and son Charles. Also listed was two Lodgers.10,11
His wife's, Rosina, death was registered in 1884 in the Greenwich registration district.12
Charles married A. M. PASK née ? circa 1887.13
In the census of 5 April 1891 in Cotham Street, Newington, London, Charles was listed as aged 38 born in Norwich, the Head of Household; a Blacksmith, living with his wife A.M., and his son C.A.13
Charles died on 12 April 1896 the County Lunatic Asylum, West Maidstone, Kent, at the age of 43; He was a former Farrier of Newington.3,14

Research Note: Edwin wrote: "In a letter from Charles Alfred III, to his uncle in Reepham, he speaks of a step-mother and a dear little baby, but any details are unknown."3

Susan PASK1

     Susan PASK was born on 28 December 1861 in 29 Avon Street, Bath, Somerset.1,2 She was the daughter of William Alfred PASK I and Fanny HASKELL.1,3 In the census of 3 April 1881 in St Denys, Lee, Kent, she was listed as a Parlourmaid a domestic servant of Edwd. A. HART Edwin wrote: "On the 1881 census for Kent, Susan is a Parlourmaid at Lee for the family of an Edward HART, from Southampton. A Jane TAYLOR from Norfolk was the Governess,so perhaps they knew each other and that is how Susan got the job.4"
She witnessed the marriage of Annie Sarah ROWE and William Alfred PASK II on 4 January 1893 in St. Mary's Church, Reepham, Norfolk.1,5,6,7
Susan married William Alfred WOODS on 26 March 1900 in St. Mary's Church, Wroxham, Norfolk. Edwin wrote: "As William's mother was called LOADES, Susan married the son of her father's sister in law.8,9"

Edwin wrote: "After marriage she ran a Grocers Shop with her husband at 77 Vincent Road, Norwich.

Where she lived is unclear during her early life but after her parents died, her half brother William Alfred PASK II took some of the responsibility for her welfare.

In her will she left money to a Girls Orphanage in Chapel Field Road, Norwich, so perhaps she spent some time there.

In 1891 she is living with the WOODS family in Reepham. In 1900 she gets married at Wroxham, then works with her husband at the shop in Vincent Road, Norwich. Sometime after her husbands death in 1927, she moves to live at 55 Leicester Street, Norwich, until being taken into the Bowthorpe Road Infirmary.8

Susan died on 18 December 1933 in The Infirmary, Bowthorpe Road, Norwich, Norfolk, at age 71. She is buried in Norwich. In her will she requested that the words reunited, be put on the grave, where she is buried with her husband.8

Ada EVANS1,2

     Ada EVANS was born on 20 February 1869 in Higginson Street, Bedford, Leigh, Lancashire. She was the youngest of 5 daughters of James EVANS and Mary HINDLEY who were married in Leigh in 1855.3,4,5,6
In the census of 2 April 1871, Ada is listed as aged 2, living with her parents and 4 older sisters at Higginson Street, Bedford, Leigh, Lancashire.7
In the census of 3 April 1881, she is listed as a 12 year old scholar, living with her parents, 3 older sisters ( a sister had died in 1876), and maternal grandparents at 38 Higginson Street, Bedford, Leigh, Lancashire. Her father's occupation is stated as "Engine Tenter Silk Mill" and her 3 sisters were each stated as "Silk Winder."8
In the census of 5 April 1891, Ada is listed as aged 22, dressmaker, living with her parents and maternal grandparents at 40 Higginson Street, Bedford, Leigh, Lancashire. Her father's occupation is again stated as "Engine Tenter Silk Mill."9
Ada married William Alfred PASK III, son of William Alfred PASK II and Elizabeth ELLIS, on 12 March 1895 in Wesley Chapel, Leigh, Lancashire.1,2,10
Their marriage was reported in the Leigh Chronicle and Weekly District Advertiser, Leigh, Lancashire, on 15 March 1895.10 It read:
Pask-Evans.-On the 12th inst., at the Wesley Chapel, Chapel-street, Leigh, by the Rev. A. Bourne, William Alfred Pask to Ada Evans, both of Leigh.10

In the census of 31 March 1901 in 189 Chapel Street, Leigh, Lancashire, she was listed as 32 born in Leigh, the wife of William Alfred PASK III (a Superintendent of Staff at the Singer Sewing Machine Company, living with his wife Ada, and children Wiliam Alfd., and Eleanor Mary. Also listed was his sister Alice Maria.)11,5
In the census of 2 April 1911 in Alysham, Norfolk, she was listed as aged 42 born in Higginson Street Leigh Lancashire, married 16 years with 3 children all living, the wife of William Alfred PASK III (a Tailor Employer living with his wife Ada, and children William Alfred, Eleanor Mary, and Clifford Evans. Also listed was a vistor Walter Percy FLOWELL, a Wesleyan Baptist Evangelist.)3,5
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Ada and her husband William, were listed as living in 36 Red Lion Street, Aylsham, Norfolk,[. She was born on 20 Febraury 1869], and her occupation was Unpaid Domestic Duties.6
Her husband, William, died in 1947 in Cromer, Norfolk.12,13
Ada died in 1957 in the Norwich registration district.14

     Bessie Elizabeth BLAZEY was born in 1896 in 1 Henderson Road, Norwich, Norfolk.2
Bessie married Alfred Harry PASK Snr, son of William Alfred PASK II and Elizabeth ELLIS, on 24 September 1921 in the Register Office, Norwich, Norfolk. She was a Tailoress, a spinster aged 25, residing at 13 Denbigh Road, Norwich. Her father was listed as John BLAZEY, a Tailor (Deceased). The marriage was witnessed by Annie & Ada BLAZEY. Bessie met Alfred when she went to work for him in the shop at Grapes Hill.1,3,2
After the war Alfred suffered poor health with TB, but after his marriage they moved to a house at 1 Henderson Road, which Rose Loads got for them, she was on the council. The house at Grapes Hill had been condemned, but Alfred continued to do some tailoring there for a time.2
Her husband, Alfred, died on 9 April 1929 in Norwich, Norfolk, at the age of 53.4,5
Bessie married Victor E. ALLMAN in 1931 in the Norwich registration district.6
Bessie died on 1 June 1983 in Norwich, Norfolk.2
Bessie was buried in Norwich Cemetery, Norwich, Norfolk.2

     He was the son of Samuel Sewell EGLINGTON and Louisa AMISS. His parents were married in 1869 in Yarmouth, Norfolk.2,3,4
In the 3 April 1881 Census in Pethywell, Hackford By Reepham, he is listed as a 4 year old scholar living with his parents, 2 older sisters, 1 older brother and a domestic servant. His father's occupation is stated as a farmer of 108 acres.5
In the 5 April 1891 Census Back Street, Hackford by Reepham, Norfolk, he is listed as a 14 year old scholar, living with his parents, 1 older brother and 1 older sister.6
Sewell married Edith Elizabeth PASK, daughter of William Alfred PASK II and Elizabeth ELLIS, in 1901 in Reepham, Norfolk.7,8,1,4
In the census of 31 March 1901 in Whitwell Road, Whitewell, Norfolk, Sewell was listed as aged 24 born in Hackford, the Head of Household; a Builder/Wheelwright, living with his wife Edith.2,4

     William BARTRAM was born in 1873 in Hingham, Norfolk, and was the son of Alfred BARTRAM and Mary Ann SAYER who were married in Mitford, Norfolk in 1860.2,3 In the 3 April 1881 census, he was listed as an 8 year old scholar, living with his mother, 1 older sister and 2 older brothers at Hall Lane, Hingham, Norfolk.4
William married Alice Maria PASK, daughter of William Alfred PASK II and Elizabeth ELLIS, in 1906 in the Aylsham registration district.5,6,1,7
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 2 Station Terrace, Swaffham, Norfolk, William was listed as aged 38 born in Hingham, the Head of Household; a Tailor Maker, living with his wife Alice, and daughter Alice.2,8

In the census of 2 April 1911 in Parkhall Road, Somersham, Huntingdonshire, Edward was listed as aged 27 born in Gorleston Norfolk, the Head of Household; a Grocer's Assistant, living with his wife Annie Rosa Susan, and children Stanley Edward, and Mildred Annie.4,3
In WW1, he enlisted in the Bedfordshire Regiment, and was assigned to the 1st Battallion with the rank of Private, service number 13878, and served in France.6,2,7 Tragically, Edward was killed in action on 27 April 1918.2,6 Edward is commemorated in perpetuity in I. F. 20 Merville Communal Cemetery Extension, Merville, France.2,4

     Elsie May JACKSON was born on 9 April 1895 in Sudbury, Suffolk. Her father was William JACKSON, a Manager.2,3,4 At the time of her marriage she lived at 15 Torrington Street, Grimsby, Lincolnshire.2
Elsie married Arthur Frank PASK, son of William Alfred PASK II and Annie Sarah ROWE, on 5 August 1917 in All Saints' Church, Grimsby, Lincolnshire. She was residing at 15 Torrington Street Grimsby. Witnessed by William JACKSON, Kathleen Ann JACKSON, and A. HODGKINSON. At the time of their marriage, Arthur was a soldier and stationed at Grimsby and Elsie was a Nanny and working and living in Grimsby.1,2,5,6,4,7
Elsie died on 17 February 1972 in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, at the age of 76.3
Both were cremated and their ashes were scattered in Reepham at Arthur's wishes. He said it was where they did their courting, but they met in Harrogate, while he was in the Army, and she was a Nanny. Muriel (their daughter) said that her father was a great one for stories. They could keep you entertained for hours. They were good parents.4

     Eileen Norah MORGAN was born on 15 January 1905 in 110 Linton Road, Acton, Middlesex. She was the daughter of Henry Arthur & Abigale Caroline MORGAN née KEELING. Eileen had 2 older sisters, Frances and Phyllis and a younger brother, Kenneth.2,3

Shortly after her mother died in 1918, her father, who was a Timber Merchant, married Alice SYRED and the family moved to High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
In the early 1920's, Eileen became a nurse at High Wycombe Hospital and, in 1925, met Gordon Reginald PASK when he became a patient.3
Eileen married Gordon Reginald PASK, son of William Alfred PASK II and Annie Sarah ROWE, on 12 November 1927 in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.1,4,3 They then move to Beaconsfield, where Gordon was employed as a Tailor until his retirement.3
On 29 September 1939, in the 1939 National Register, Eileen and her husband Gordon, were listed as living in Marison Horseshoe Crescent, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. She was born on 15 January 1905, and her occupation was Unpaid Domestic Duties. There were two redacted entries, assumed to be their sons Trevor, and Geoffrey.5
At the time of the death of her husband Gordon, Eileen and Gordon lived in 6 Horseshoe Crescent, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.6
Her husband, Gordon, died on 9 January 1968 in Chelsea Hospital, Chelsea, London, at the age of 68.1,7,3,6

In the census of 2 April 1911 in 31 Nightingale Place, Woolwich, London, James was listed as aged 30 born in Woolwich (Kent), the Head of Household; a Clergyman, Curate of St. John's Church Blackheath, living with his wife Bijou Frances, and children James Collyns, Mary Margaret, and Betty. Also listed was two servants Emily HOOPER, and Emma GOODHEW.3
His son's, James Collyns WALKEY, estate was probated to him on 31 December 1932.9

In November 1933 James was appointed Chaplain-in-Chief to the Royal Air Force. He retired in February 1940.10 Prior to James' death in 1960, James and Bijou lived at Craddock Lodge Cottage, Ashill, Cullompton, Devon.11

The Venerable James Rowland Walkey CBE, MA was a talented amateur sportsman in the first half of the twentieth century who later became an eminent Anglican Chaplain.

He was born into a military family on 10 April 1880 and educated at Plymouth College and Christ's College, Cambridge. During his varsity years he was awarded a Blue for Rugby and after joining the British Army as a Chaplain was its 100-yard champion in 1906. In that year he married Bijou Frances Paske daughter of the Colonel Commandant of the Notts and Derbyshire Regiment with whom he had one son and six daughters. He was mentioned in despatches during the Great War and at its conclusion joined the fledgling Royal Air Force Chaplaincy Service. After serving at Uxbridge (during which time he became its Fencing champion) he held posts in Iraq and the Middle East before becoming an Honorary Chaplain to the King and eventually its Archdeacon (Chaplain-in-Chief). Later he held incumbencies at Wateringbury, Worting, Angmering, Haversham and Moreton. He retired just a year before his death on 8 January 1960.5

     Louisa PASK was born on 31 December 1886 in Fen, Long Sutton, Lincolnshire.1,2,3 She was the daughter of William PASK and Grace Isabella SOLOMON.4
In the census of 5 April 1891 in Ratcliffe on the Wreake, Leicestershire, she was listed as aged 4 born in Long Sutton Lincolnshire, the daughter of William PASK.5
In the census of 31 March 1901 in Heath Farm, Easton on the Hill, Northamptonshire, she was listed as aged 15 born in Long Sutton Lincolnshire, the daughter of William PASK.1,4
Louisa married Edwin William Henry WESTMORELAND on 26 September 1910 in the St. Ann's Church, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. She was a Spinster aged 26, residing at 10 Cathcart Street. Her father was listed as William PASK, a Farm Foreman. The marriage was witnessed by Bertie WESTMORELAND, and Ethel MERCER.
Edwin and Louisa had six children, and another six step-children. Louisa died on 18 April 1961, at the age of 74, and her death was registered in the Nottingham registration district.8,17,18

Chris wrote "I remember my grandma very well I spent a lot of the time with her, she was a wonderful lady. Sunday was our special day we would listen to the omnibus of the archers on the radio while I did her hair. She was also a keen gardener and had an allottment where she grew everything. She had a summer house and swing in the tree."19

     Grace Isabella SOLOMON was born on 15 May 1863 in Hessle, Yorkshire. Isabella's father was William SOLOMON who married Louisa MACLEAN, the daughter of John Jenkins MACLEAN, a Physician who was born in Scotland, and died in 1844 at the age of 47 in Boston. Isabella had two sisters - Emily and Sarah, and twin brother and sister William & Isabella born in 1855, but did not survive.3,4,5,2,6,7,8
In the census of 3 April 1881 in Barrier Bank Road, Cowbit, Lincolnshire, she was listed as a Visitor of William KENDALL; Her occupation was listed as a Cook (Domestic Servant.)9

Grace, together with her two daughters Gladys, and Lucy, and her grandson Leonard, immigrated to Canada, departing from Liverpool on 7 May 1920 travelling on the ship "Haverford", to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.17
Grace died on 28 December 1939 in Lot 4, Concession 5, Harwich, Kent County, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 76.16,18,19,20 Her obituary was recorded in the Chatham Daily News December 29, 1939 page 3. The Death Notice reads: "PASK: At the residence of her son Frank, lot 4, Con.5, Harwich, on Thursday, December 28, 1939, Mrs. Grace Isabella Pask, in her 77th year: dear mother of Mrs. E. Sketcher, Mrs R. Lamperd, Miss Ethel, William and Frank. The remains are resting at the Needham Memorial Chapel, where funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 31, 1939 at two p.m. Interment Maple Leaf cemetery."
Her obituary reads "Following an illness of five days duration, death came suddenly last evening at the home of her son Frank, Lot 4, Concession 5, Harwich, to Mrs. Grace Isabella Pask well known resident of this district. Mrs. Pask has been in failing health for some years but not until Christmas day has been seriously ill.
     She was born in Scotland 76 years ago, but for many years resided in England. Her husband the late William Pask predeceased her in May 1914. Four years later Mrs. Pask came to this country and has since resided with her son in Harwich. She was of a quiet home loving disposition, but she made many friends by whom she will be greatly missed.
     Surviving are five daughters, Louise and Florie, in England, Mrs E. Sketcher and Mrs. R. Lamperd this city, Miss Ethel at home and two sons William and Frank at home.
     The remains are resting at the Needham Memorial Chapel where funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Dec. 31st at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Maple Leaf cemetery

In the census of 5 April 1891 in Ratcliffe on the Wreake, Leicestershire, he was listed as aged 10 months born in Slipton Northamptonshire, the son of William PASK.3

     Frank PASK was born in 1892 in Kirton, Lincolnshire.1,2 He was the son of William PASK and Grace Isabella SOLOMON.1
In the census of 31 March 1901 in Heath Farm, Easton on the Hill, Northamptonshire, he was listed as aged 10 born in Kirton Lincolnshire, the son of William PASK.3,1 Frank went to Canada around 1906 he sailed on either the Montcalm or Mont Clare.4
Frank married Florence Gertrude CUNDLE in Canada. They did not have any children.5,6
Frank married Gladys M. GLOVER née ?. They did not have any children.5 Frank was mentioned in his mother's obituary that was recorded in the Chatham Daily News on December 29, 1939.7,8
Frank died in November 1984.9,10

     Florence PASK was born on 13 November 1894 in Kirkby, Lincolnshire.1,3,4 She was the daughter of William PASK and Grace Isabella SOLOMON.1
In the census of 31 March 1901 in Heath Farm, Easton on the Hill, Northamptonshire, she was listed as aged 6 born in Kirkby Lincolnshire, the daughter of William PASK.5,1
Florence married John BAVIN on 16 January 1922 in Billinghay, Lincolnshire. John was a widow with four children, and they wont to have three sons.6,7,8
Florence died in 1973 in Billinghay, Lincolnshire.4,6
