The marriage was witnessed by Fred JOHNSON (father of the bride), and Mary Elizabeth KINGSBY.4,1,5,6 At the time of her son's birth registration on 22 December 1907, her husband was a Lt. Sergeant in the Command of the 1st Northamptonshire Regiment, serving in Jullunder, Punjab, India.7 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 18 Victoria Street, Northampton, Northamptonshire, she was listed as aged 26 born in Northampton, married 5 years having had 3 children all living, the daughter-in-law of Elizabeth PASK. Also listed was her husband Bertram Lionel and children Agnes Mary, Bertram Lionel, and Frederick Henry.3
Elizabeth died in 1960 in the Hull registration district.8
At the time of the death of her husband Bertram, Elizabeth and Bertram lived in 43 Westfield Close, Grove, Wantage, Oxfordshire.9

     Gordon Mons Aisne PASK was born on 13 October 1914 in Northampton, Northamptonshire.2,3 He was the son of Bertram Lionel PASK and Elizabeth JOHNSON.2,4
Gordon married Alice M. MARSTON in 1935 in the Hull registration district.5
Gordon was killed in action, at the age of 27, on 16 April 1942, whilst serving on S.S. Caspia, off Beirut. At 19.54 hours on 16 Apr, 1942, Uboat U-81 spotted a tanker and one escort vessel off the coast of Lebanon and fired at 20.38 and 20.39 hours two torpedoes each at both ships. FFL Vikings (P 41) exploded and sank 23 miles 240° from Beirut after being hit by a torpedo. At 21.48 hours, the U-boat fired two torpedoes at the Caspia and hit her with one torpedo in the bow. The tanker sank in flames 10 miles south of Beirut after being hit by a torpedo at 22.10 hours. The master (Master Cecil Henry Humphries), 24 crew members and two gunners from the Caspia were lost. Ten crew members and one gunner were picked up by the British motor launches HMS ML-1023 (Lt C.S. Roberts) and HMS ML-1032 (Lt C.D. Searle) and landed at Beirut. Unfortunately, Gordon was one of the casualties.4,6 Gordon is commemorated in perpetuity on Panel 24, Tower Hill Memorial, Trinity Square, London. Tower Hill Memorial commemorates men of the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets who gave their lives and have no grave but the sea.4
