In the census of 5 April 1891 in 12 Eldon Street, Salford, Lancashire, she was listed as aged 29 born in Manchester, the wife of Arthur John PASK (a Railway Foreman, living with his wife Christiana, and children Ellen, Arthur, and George A. Also living with them was a nephew Joseph M. OATES).8
In the census of 31 March 1901 in 150 Oldfield Road, Salford, Lancashire, she was listed as aged 38 born in Manchester, the wife of Arthur J. PASK (a Railway Foreman, living with his wife Christiana, and children Nelly, Arthur, and Albert. Also living with them was Joseph OATES, a nephew).2 In 1915, at the time of the death of their son George Albert in World War I in Greece, Christiana PASK and Arthur PASK lived at 1 Hall Street, Windsor Bridge, Salford, Lancashire.9
Christiana died in 1942 in the Salford registration district.3

PASK.3
Arthur married Ethel YOUNG in 1910 in St. Bartholomew, Salford, Lancashire.4,5,6 Arthur and his wife Ethel emigrated from Liverpool on 2 September 1910 to New York, New York State, America, on the Campania. They arrived on 10 September 1910 into Ellis Island. He was listed as aged 27, a Blacksmith from Salford. He was described as 5'10" with fair complexion, fair hair, blue eyes, tattooed on his right arm. Their next-of-kin was listed as mother-in-law who lived at 8 West Street, Salford.7,8,9

Susannah married Samuel PASK, son of Peter PASK and Sarah CURRY, in 1870 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.2,3
In the census of 2 April 1871 in 1 St. Andrews Building, St. James, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 21 born in Lawshall , the wife of Samuel PASK (a Porter Ironmonger, living with his wife Susannah, and baby daughter Anna Maria. Also listed was a visitor Mary Ann MANNING (probably Susannah's sister)).1
In the census of 3 April 1881 in Holt Road, Fakenham & Alethorpe, Norfolk, she was listed as aged 30 born in Lawshall, the wife of Samuel PASK (a Gardener, living with his wife Susannah and son William S).4
Research Note: This family possibly immigrated to America. They lived there during the period of 1871-1875, as their son William was born there. They returned to England at the tme of the 1881 census, but not found in subsequent censuses, or in the GRO Death Index.

In the census of 7 June 1841 in Horningsheath Green, Horringer, Suffolk, she was aged 30, assumed to be the wife of Stephen PASK; an Agricultural Labourer, assumed to be living with his wife Sophia, and children Henry, Mary, Susan, Stephen and Jane.3 In the census of 30 March 1851 in Horringer, Suffolk, she was listed as aged 44 born in Whepstead, the wife of Stephen PASK; an Agricultural Labourer, living with his wife Sophia, and children Stephen, Jane, Robert and James.4 Her husband, Stephen, was buried on 30 September 1857 in St. Leonard, Horringer, Suffolk, at age 53.5
In the census of 7 April 1861 in 16 Union Terrace, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, Sophia was listed as a widow aged 52, born in Chevington, the Head of Household; a Charwoman, living with her children Stephen, Robert, and James. Also listed was her stepson [son-in-law] John ROOT, and her daughter Jane, an granddaughter Susan.6
In the census of 2 April 1871 in 13 Horringer Road, St. Mary, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, Sophia was listed as the Head of Household; she was a widow, and a Laundress, age 66. Living with her were her unmarried son Stephen and widowed daughter-in-law Ann and her daughter Susannah.2
Sophia's death was registered in 1872 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.7 Sophia was buried on 10 April 1872 in Bury St. Edmunds Cemetery, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.8

Anne married James PASK, son of Stephen PASK and Sophia FLACK, on 28 June 1868 in St. Mary, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. The marriage was witnessed by James' sister, and brother-in-law John and Jane ROOT née PASK.3,1
Her husband, James, died in December 1869 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.4 Her husband, James, was buried on 3 January 1870 in Bury St. Edmunds Cemetery, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, at age 22.5 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 13 Horringer Road, St. Mary, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, she was listed as the daughter-in-law of Sophia PASK.2 Annie married John Thomas OAKES on 24 April 1880 in St. Mary, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. She was listed as a widow. The marriage was witnessed by Thomas PEARSON and Emma PEARSONS.6,7,8
In the census of 3 April 1881 in 5 Southgate Street, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, she was listed as the wife of John OAKES (a Brewers Labourer, living with his wife Annie and childen Susannah, James, and Maggie).9 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 113 South Street, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, she was listed as Annie OAKES, aged 42, the wife of Thomas OAKES; a Commissioners Labourer, living with his wife Ann, step son James PASK, and children Maggie, John R., and Edith.10,6
Her husband, William, died in 1902 in the Bury St. Edmunds registration district.11,12

Also listed was Alice CLUFFERHAM a Boarder, with her son Joseph).8
In the census of 3 April 1881 in 90 Westgate Road, St. Mary, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, Jane was listed as the Head of Household; a widowed Laundress, living with her son Robert, and brother Stephen.1
In the census of 5 April 1891 in 90 Westgate Road, St. Mary, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, Jane was listed as the Head of Household; a widowed Laundress aged 56 born in Horringer, living with her brother.9 She was listed in the census of 31 March 1901 at 52 St Andrews Street, St. Mary, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, a Charwoman, living alone, aged 63 born in Horringer.10
Research Note: Jane is a widow in the 1881 census living with her son and brother Stephen. It is therefore assumed that her husband and daughters Jane and Susan died between 1871 and 1881.1

His father was Isaac ROOT a Carpenter.2 John married Jane PASK, daughter of Stephen PASK and Sophia FLACK, on 24 December 1859 in St. Mary, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. He was a Labourer, a Bachelor a Minor residing in St Mary, Bury St. Edmunds. His father was listed as Isaac Root, a Carpenter. The marriage was witnessed by John MATTHEWS, and Louisa MATTHEWS.3,4 In the census of 7 April 1861 in 16 Union Terrace, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, he was listed as an Agricultural Labourer, aged 31 born in Whepstead, the stepson [son-in-law] of Sophia PASK. He was listed together with his wife Jane, and daughter Susan.5
