It appeared that the mother of the deceased, having occasion to go with two of her children to a neighbouring statutes, left a person in care of her youngest children, with directions that if the deceased was cross, she was to go to a druggist's shop in the village for something to give it which she had spoken for, but she did not say what it was: the child being cross, the person left in charge went for the medicine, and administered about a teaspoonful and a half, from the effects of which the child slept, and notwithstanding medical assistance was called in, and every exertion used, never revived.
