Phoebe BRAGG was born in 1854 in Mile End, London. She was the daughter of Phoebe BRAGG née.² She was a Spinster aged 18, residing at Harrietts Place. Her father was listed as William Bragg, a Shoe Maker; The marriage was witnessed by John Pask and Mary Pask (probably his brother and sister-in-law).^1,3
In the census of 3 April 1881 in 35 Lambeth Street, Whitechapel, London, she was listed as aged 26 born in Mile End, the wife of James PASK (a Farrier, living together with his wife Phoebe, and children William, and Robert. Also listed was three of the children of his sister Mary Ann Bragg née Pask - William, Fredk, and Matilda Bragg).⁴

Research Note: It is likely that James (husband of Mary Ann Pask) and William Bragg (father of Phoebe Bragg, wife of James Pask) were brothers. In the 1851 Census, his father was a Pastry Cook, and his brother William was a Shoe Maker age 18. James Bragg's older brother William married Phoebe Jewson in 1853/4 Whitechapel 1c 765. Their daughter Phoebe married James Pask in 1873.^5,6,7

     
Elizabeth PASK was born in 1847 in Whitechapel, London.^1,3 She was the daughter of John PASK and Mary Ann BOWNESS.^1,2 In the census of 30 March 1851 in St. Mary's, Whitechapel, London, she was listed as the daughter of John PASK.^4,5 Elizabeth married James BERRY on 4 September 1865 in Christ Church, Commercial Street, Spitalfields, Whitechapel, London. She was a Spinster aged 21, residing at 27 Wentworth Street. Her father was listed as John Pask, a Shoemaker. The marriage was witnessed by James Bragg and Mary Ann Bragg [Elizabeth brother-in-law, and sister].¹
In the census of 2 April 1871 in 22 Frances Street, Battersea, London, she was listed as a Boot Binder aged 24 born in Whitechapel, the wife of James BERRY (a Labourer in the Colour Works, living with his wife Elizabeth, and children William, and Sarah A).³
In the census of 3 April 1881 in 14 Bell Street, St. John the Evangelist, Westminster, London, she was listed as aged 34 born in London Middlesex, the wife of James BERRY (a Warehouseman, living with his wife Elizabeth, and children William, Sarah, John, Frederick, and Robert. Also listed with William Williams, a Lodger a widower aged 70 who was born at sea).⁶
In the census of 5 April 1891 in 9 Gye Buildings, Lambeth, London, Elizabeth was listed as aged 43 born in London Whitechapel, the Head of Household; married although her husband was not present, together with her children John, Frederick, Robert, Alfred, and Amelia.⁷

He was a Shoe-maker, a Bachelor aged 21, residing at 27 Wentworth Street. His father was listed as William Berry, a Shoemaker. The marriage was witnessed by James Bragg and Mary Ann Bragg [Elizabeth brother-in-law, and sister].¹

In the census of 31 March 1901 in 272 New Road, Chatham, Kent, Frederick was listed as aged 30 born in Chatham, the Head of Household; a Shipwright & Diver in the Dockyard, living with his wife Clara, and sister-in-law Bertha, and daughter Ethel.²

William PASK was born in 1878 in Whitechapel, London.^1,2 He was the son of James PASK and Phoebe BRAGG.¹ In the census of 3 April 1881 in 35 Lambeth Street, Whitechapel, London, he was listed as aged 3 born in Whitechapel, the son of James PASK.¹ In the census of 5 April 1891 in 14 Brook Street, Ratcliff, London, he was listed as an Errand Boy aged 16 born in Whitechapel, the grandson of Phoebe BRAGG née.³

      Robert John was also known as John Albert Wilding PASK.⁴
Robert John PASK was born on 30 August 1889 in 1 Aldis Street, Tooting, London.^3,4,5,6 He was the son of Edward PASK and Mary Ann STROUD.³ In the census of 5 April 1891 in 14 Block M, Waterloo Square, Camberwell, London, he was listed as "Bob", aged 2 born in Tooting, the son of George PASK.³ In the census of 31 March 1901 in 60 Westmacott Street, Camberwell, London, he was listed as "Robert", aged 12 born in Tooting, the son of George PASK.⁷ Robert served in World War I. He initially enlisted on 7 September 1914 into the Dorsetshire Regiment. His attestation papers show that he was born in Camberwell, a Porter, 24 years 1 month old. However he only served 89 days, as he was discharged on 4 December 1914 under Kings Regulation Paragraph 392 iii - Not being likely to become an efficient soldier.
However he applied, and was accepted, into the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry (DCLI) regiment on the 15 February 1915 where he declared his age as 24 years and 4 months. He served in Salonika in 1916 and France in 1917. In Salonika he was responsible for watering the donkeys. The battalion were one side of a mountain, he took them to water around the other side. Altogether, he served in the DCLI for 2 years and 331 days before being transferred to the RFC / RAF as a mechanic, and served in Egypt. Eventually he was discharged from the RAF on 18 June 1918 (as being no longer physically fit for war service).
He was awarded the 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, and Allied Victory Medal.^8,9,10,6
Robert married Phoebe COODE on 7 September 1919 in The Parish Church of St. Andrew, Stockwell, London. He was a Labourer, a Bachelor aged 28, residing at 10 Hargwyne Street, Stockwell. His father was listed as Thomas Pask (Deceased), a Chef. The marriage was witnessed by Arthur Coode, and Alfred Pask [brother].^{11,12,13,2,14}
His wife, Phoebe, died in 12 July 1954 in the Chelsea registration district.^15,16,14
Robert died on 12 December 1967 in Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill, Lambeth, London, at the age of 78.^1,17

Research Note: There are inconsistencies both in Robert's age, and who his father is. Assumptions have been made based on the 1891-1901 census. His father is believed to be George, who was also known by Edwin, or Edward. Further research is required, particularly in locating Robert's birth certificate. It is believed that his date of birth was 29 August 1892, however he was listed in the 1891 census.^13,2


Research Note: Details from the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry museum gives that he had three brothers, including Alfred & Arthur who was a prisoner of the Turks.⁶

     Thomas PASK was baptised on 17 March 1832 in Wolvesnewton, Monmouthshire.¹ He was the son of James PASK and Harriet PASK née ?.¹

     Charlott PASK was baptised on 17 March 1832 in Wolvesnewton, Monmouthshire.¹ She was the daughter of James PASK and Harriet PASK née ?.¹

      Ada Violet was also known as Ada V. BECKETT.⁴
Ada Violet BECKETT was born on 19 February 1904.^3,5
Ada married Robert PASK, son of Gertrude Alice BARNES, in 1928 in the Kensington registration district.^1,2
Ada's death was registered in May 1998 in the West Surrey registration district at the age of 94.^3,5

      Kenneth Robert J. was also known as Kenneth R. J. PASK.² He was born on 7 October 1929, in the Chertsey registration district.^2,1 He was the son of Robert PASK and Ada Violet BECKETT.
Kenneth died in July 1998 in the West Surrey registration district aged 68.^3,1

      David Leslie was also known as David L. PASK.² He was born on 1 May 1931, in the Wisbech registration district.^2,1 He was the son of Robert PASK and Ada Violet BECKETT.
