Jane Annie CHESTER was born on 4 May 1877 in Gateshead, County Durham.3,4,5,6,7
Jane married Walter PASK, son of Henry PASK and Mary Ann RUDDOCK, on 21 May 1898 in The Register Office, Gateshead, County Durham. She was a Spinster aged 20 years, residing at 44 Askew Road, Gateshead. Her father was listed as William White Chester (deceased), an Engine Driver. The marriage was witnessed by Frank FEETHAM, and Mary Jane REAY.1,8,9,4 Jane was the informant of the registration of the birth of her son Arthur PASK who was born on 1 August 1905 at 98 Dixon Street, Gateshead, County Durham.9,10,11 Jane was the informant of the registration of the birth of her son George PASK who was born on 18 February 1908 at 9 Seymour Street, Gateshead, County Durham.12,13
Her husband, Walter, died on 18 July 1908 in St. George's Hospital, St. George Hanover Square, London, at the age of 32; He was killed in a railway accident. An inquest held on July 21, found that he was knocked down by a train, and died of a fracture of the skull.The verdict was accidental death.9,14,3,15
After her husband Walter was killed in a railway accident in 1908, she was left with 4 children, the youngest George being only a few months old. With no means of support Jane gave the 2 middle boys, Arthur and Walter, to her mother-in-law Mary Ann. She kept Laura the eldest and the baby George. Her mother-in-law emigrated to Melbourne Australia on the "Wilcannia" departing from London on 18 September 1912, taking with her Arthur and Walter. Jane Ann wrote to her mother-in-law Mary Ann begging for Arthur and Walter to be returned to her as she was getting married again and her circumstances were much better. Evidently she was horrified that they were going to Australia and was allowed to see them only a few days before they left.9
Jane married William Benjamin James CAMIS on 22 January 1910 in The Register Office, Wandsworth, London. She was a Railway Carriage Cleaner aged 30 years, a Widow residing at 39 Stanley Street Battersea. Her father was listed as William Chester (deceased), an Engine Driver (Railway). The marriage was witnessed by Elizabeth CAMIS, and William CAMIS.16,17,18
In the census of 2 April 1911 in 39 Stanley Street, Battersea, London, she was listed as aged 30 born in Gateshead Durham, the wife of Benjamin CAMIS, an Interlocking Signal Fitter. An Interlocking Signal Fitter (a Railway Signaller), living with his wife Jane. Also listed at the same address, although separately enumerated was his parents William & Elizabeth CAMIS, and sister Elizabeth. Her four children from her previous marriage to Walter PASK were not listed.5
Her husband, William, died in 1927 in the Wandsworth registration district.19 Jane witnessed the marriage of Louisa Emily RIDGWAY and her youngest son George PASK on 4 January 1938 in The Register Office, Wandsworth, London.20,21,22 As of 1947, Jane lived at 10 Melville Cottages, Shepperton Green,, Shepperton, Middlesex.23
Jane died in 1966.3

Research Note: Yvonne writes: "Uncle George believed that my grandmother, Jane Annie Pask had a brother - Christopher Feetham(?) who won the George Cross 1972(?) for an act of bravery in 1919 - 'Bravery in a burning steamer, S.S. Hornsey. Fireman's courageous act.' On Chris Feetham death the George Cross was auctioned and bought for a cellection in Canada! Chris died in 1976. He originally was awarded the 'Albert Medal' it was later recalled and was replaced by the George Cross.23"

The Wedding of Arthur & Frances Pask - 1936
     
Arthur PASK was born on 1 August 1905 in 98 Dixon Street, Gateshead, County Durham.1,2,3 He was the son of Walter PASK and Jane Annie CHESTER.1 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 29 Albert Road, Addiscombe, Croydon, Surrey, he was listed as aged 5 born in Newcastle, the grandson of the Head of the Household (Mary Ann Pask - who was not present on the night).4
He immigrated to Melbourne Australia with his brother Walter on the "Wilcannia" departing from London on 18 September 1912. They travelled together with their grandmother Mary A. PASK and Aunts Nelly and Kate. He was listed as aged 7.5,1,6
Arthur married Frances Dora VAUX on 11 April 1936 in Churches of Christ, Hampton. She was a Machinist, a Spinster aged 24 born in Surrey Hills Victoria residing at 39 Grenville Street, Hampton. Her parents are listed as William Thomas Vaux, a Printer, and Ethel Caroline May Bowman. The marriage was witnessed by G? PITTMAN, and Walter PASK (brother of groom).7,8,9 Arthur was a very talanted man. He played the cello in the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, he was an accountant, and also the Team Manager for the Australian Archers in the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany.1
His wife, Frances, died on 17 October 1983 at the age of 72.7
Arthur died on 5 April 1991 in Torquay, Victoria, Australia, at the age of 85.1 Arthur was buried in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.7

George PASK was born on 18 February 1908 in 9 Seymour Street, Gateshead, County Durham.2,3 He was the son of Walter PASK and Jane Annie CHESTER.1 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 79 Walker Street, Gateshead, County Durham, he was listed as aged 3 born in Gateshead, the grandson of Frank & Elisabeth FEETHAM, a Labourer.4
George married Louisa Emily RIDGWAY on 4 January 1938 at The Register Office, Wandsworth, London. He was a Stores Porter, aged 29 a Bachelor residing at 647 Garratt Lane, Wandsworth. His father was listed as Walter Pask (deceased), an Electrical Engineer. The marriage was witnessed by A. M. Ridgway & J. A. Camis (groom's mother).5,6,7 George emigrated on the ship "New Australia", sailing from Southampton on 9 May 1953 to Australia; His brother Arthur sponsored him, and his family to emigrate to Australia. His family travelled out 7 months' later.1,8,9
George died on 27 January 1993 in Australia at the age of 84.1

Arthur married Eva Annie PASK, daughter of Henry PASK and Mary Ann RUDDOCK, in 1904 in the Croydon registration district.3,1,4
In the census of 2 April 1911 in Ockham Villas, Whyteleafe, Surrey, Arthur was listed as aged 35 born in Bromley Kent, the Head of Household; a Domestic Gardener, living with his wife Eva, and children Nellie, Violet, and Bertram. Also listed was Sarah SMITH, a Widow aged 81, a Boarder.5 Arthur and Eva emigrated to Adelaide, South Australia, Australia departing from London on 19 March 1920 on the "Ormonde". They travelled with their four children. He was listed as aged 43 a Gardener.4,6

He was an Accountant, a bachelor aged 30 born in Gateshead, England residing at 18 Wendy Street, Middle Brighton. His parents are listed as Walter Pask, a Labourer, and Jane Ann Chester. The marriage was witnessed by G? PITTMAN, and Walter PASK (brother of groom).1,5,6
Frances died on 17 October 1983 at the age of 72.1 Frances was buried in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.1

Research Note: Frances' family originated in Kirriemuir, Scotland by the name of Bowman.1
