Rosetta was also known as Rose PASK.2
Rosetta's granddaughter related that her grandmother Rosetta could tell fortunes and that she came from Spanish stock - however there is nothing to prove that this isn't just a fanciful notion!3
Rosetta PASK was born in 1869 in Bethnal Green, London.2,1 She was the daughter of George PASK and Rosetta SMITH.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 23 Fern Street, Bromley, London, she was listed as aged 11 born in Bethnal Green, the daughter of George PASK.2
Rosetta married Reuben BELLETT, son of George BELLETT and Mary JOHNSON, in 1888 in the Mile End registration district; Earlier, in 1886 Reuben's sister Jessie married Rosetta's brother George.3,4 I
n the census of 5 April 1891 in 18 Tidey Street, Bromley, London, she was listed as aged 21 born in Bethnal Green, the wife of Reuben BELLETT (a General Labourer, living with his wife Rosetta, and children Reuben, and George).5,3 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 15 Tidey Street, Bromley, London, she was listed as aged 31 born in Shoreditch, the wife of Reuben BELLETT (a Labourer at the Gas Works, living with his wife Rosetta, and children Reuben, George, Albert, and Rosetta).6 At the time of their son Albert's death on 15 February 1915, Rosetta and Reuben lived at 36, Woodstock Road, Green Street, Forest Gate, London.7 Rosetta took the death of her youngest son Albert, very badly. Jackie writes:
"My mother also lived in Woodstock Road and she can remember, when she was about 14 (in the 1940s), taking some dinner over to Rosetta's house, and being frightened, as Rosetta tried to feed chocolate to the photo of Albert which she had on her wall. All those years after WW1 ended, my poor great-grandmother was still grieving."3 During the first part of the war, their son Albert sent postcards and photographs to his parents who were living at that time Ferndale Road, Upton Park, London.3> Rosetta was in a photograph taken in the 1930s in Plashet Park, East Ham, London.8

Research Note: Jackie wrote: "Rosetta had 3 sons, Reuben Jr., George (my grandfather) & Albert.
George & Albert both became soldiers before WW1, George joined the Royal Fusiliers but Albert went to Bodmin in Cornwall and joined the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.
Reuben Jr. did not serve due to ill health.
Many years later, Reuben Jr. married, had 2 daughters (Pat & Peggy) and went to live in...Bodmin, Cornwall! I'm wondering whether it was a coincidence, or if there was some family connection to the West Country.3
