In his will he describes himself as a Retired Farmer owning the farm called "White House" in Cwmcarvan, and 6 acres of land known as "Carlland" adjoining the old lane or road leading from Cwmcarvan to Trelleck.9
William died on 27 July 1890 in Raglan, Monmouthshire, at the age of 87.10,11
His estate was probated to Charles PASK on 20 August 1890 in Llandaff, Glamorganshire.12,9
